How to Share Domain Access with Symphony Core (Cloudflare)

If your domain's DNS is on Cloudflare, you can grant Symphony Core access to manage it directly — the cleanest setup, because it lets us add and verify records (website, SSL, email) without back-and-forth. You stay the account owner and can remove our access at any time.

Cloudflare lets you add a team member without sharing your password:

  1. Sign in to dash.cloudflare.com.
  2. Open Manage Account → Members → Invite.
  3. Invite the email address your Symphony Core contact gives you, with a role that can manage DNS (Administrator, or a DNS-scoped role if you prefer).
  4. We accept the invite and handle the records from there.

You can change or remove our access anytime under Members. We only touch DNS.

Option B — You add the records we send

Prefer to keep it entirely in-house? We'll send you the exact records and you add them:

  1. In Cloudflare, select your domain → DNS → Records → Add record.
  2. For each record we send, match the Type, Name, and Value exactly.
  3. Set Proxy status to "DNS only" (grey cloud) for the records we send — this is important; the orange cloud will break verification.
  4. Save and let us know; we verify from our side.

What we handle

Once we have access (Option A) or the records are in (Option B), we verify everything, issue your website's SSL, and connect email sending for reliable delivery.

Key takeaways

  • Option A: invite us as a Cloudflare member (no password sharing; revocable anytime) — recommended.
  • Option B: you add the records we send, with proxy set to DNS only (grey cloud).
  • You remain the account owner; we only manage DNS.
